2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Provide and improve the Bucktory app
• Sync your financial data across your devices (Cloud Sync feature, Premium only)
• Authenticate your account when you sign in
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

3. Data Storage

Local storage (default): All your financial data is stored locally on your device using your device's secure local storage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync.

Cloud Sync (Premium feature): If you enable Cloud Sync, your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a secure cloud database provided by Google. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your data is stored under your unique user ID and is accessible only to you.

4. Third-Party Services

Bucktory uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase Authentication — for user sign-in (email/password and Google Sign-In). Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Firebase Firestore — for optional cloud data storage (Premium feature). Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Play Billing — for processing in-app purchases. Google Privacy Policy

We do not integrate any advertising SDKs or analytics platforms that track users across apps.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear the app's data.

If you use Cloud Sync, your data is retained in Firebase until you delete your account. To delete your account and all associated cloud data, contact us at the email address below and we will process your request within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Bucktory is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all cloud communications and Firebase's built-in security rules that ensure users can only access their own data.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below.
